What is a Post-Baccalaureate Program?
Postbaccalaureate (postbac) programs are typically for students interested in obtaining a second bachelor’s degree or an entry degree. Most commonly associated with premed certification, postbacs are offered in a range of subjects. Although not traditionally considered a part of graduate-level education, postbacs are more advanced than a bachelor’s degree. The typical length of a postbac program is between 8 months and 1 year but some advanced grad-entry programs can be up to 2 years.
