Mérida Rúa participates in LADO/C3 trip to the University of Chicago

Mérida Rúa, Professor of Latina/o and American Studies, Chair of Latina/o Studies Program, participated in the Liberal Arts Diversity Officers consortium (LADO) / Creating Connections Consortium (C3) trip to the University of Chicago. During the visit Rúa discussed Faculty Development and Support at Liberal Arts Colleges and Social and Intellectual Life in Liberal Arts College Environments.  Rúa also supported graduate students during one-on-one curriculum vitae and cover letter reviews.  LADO and C3 share a commitment to diversifying faculty at institutions of higher education, particularly liberal arts colleges.  Faculty and administrators from Dickinson, Middlebury, Providence, Reed, St. Olaf and Trinity also participated.  The trip took place April 6-7.
