Liberal Arts Colleges Racial Equity Leadership Alliance (LACRELA)

March 22, 2021

Dear Colleagues,

In January, Williams joined the USC Race and Equity Center’s Liberal Arts Colleges Racial Equity Leadership Alliance (LACRELA), a consortium that now boasts close to 70 colleges. Membership to LACRELA affords the college access to several resources, including the ability to send up to 8 participants (staff and faculty) to monthly virtual sessions on topics as wide-ranging as confronting explicit acts of racism and racial violence on campus, strategically hiring faculty of color, supporting and retaining faculty of color, strategically diversifying staff at all levels, and creating equitable pathways to leadership roles for employees of color, among others.

Faculty and staff are invited to view the full slate of eConvenings and express interest in those sessions you might like to attend. Working with senior staff, I will review the responses and make sure the opportunities are available to as many people as possible.

Thank you for considering participating in these sessions.

All the best,
Ngoni
