DC Brown Bag Lecturette: Sterling A. Brown Collection with Lisa Conathan & David L. Smith
Have you wondered what…or how…Special Collections works? Curious about library and information sciences? Do you have a passion for twentieth century literature, especially the Harlem Renaissance or poetry? Please consider joining the Davis Center in the Hardy House for free lunch on March 17th at noon.
After graduating from Williams College in 1922, Sterling A. Brown went on to be a prominent poet, scholar of southern African American culture and literature and beloved college professor. The Williams College Special Collections is very excited to have recently received his writings and other ephemera and will soon have a large event to display this impressive set. On Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 12:00 in the Hardy House there will be a small preview of this celebration with the head of Special Collections, Lisa Conathan and Williams College John Chandler Professor of English, David L. Smith.
Come hungry for a great lunch…and even better inspiration and information.
