Toya has more than a decade of experience with development and implementation of nondiscrimination policies and as a human resources professional.  Immediately prior to joining the Williams community, Toya was the Diversity/Equity and Title IX Coordinator at Savannah State University in Savannah, GA.  During her tenure at Savannah State, she oversaw the investigation and resolution of discriminatory harassment complaints raised by faculty, staff, and students; and developed diversity and inclusion trainings around cultural competence, bias, and conflict resolution.  As a human resources professional, she consistently leveraged her facilitation and mediation skills to improve employee relations and implement best human resources practices.

Toya is a certified investigator and mediator.  She is an active member of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE) and recently helped organize NADOHE’s Diversity and Inclusion Summit.

Toya Camacho leads the College’s non-discrimination efforts. As the College’s Title IX Coordinator and ADA Coordinator she ensures compliance with federal and state laws and College policies. She also facilitates the implementation of several of the College’s policies and procedures aimed at ensuring equitable spaces in which the members of our community work and learn.

As a facilitator, Toya also leads conflict management efforts designed to create and sustain collegial, productive environments for staff, students, and faculty.
